Our mission is to provide the best occupational therapy for children so that they can excel at home, school, and play. We take pride in our practice and are constantly striving to improve our skills and knowledge base through continuing education. We are called Foundations Therapy Service because we work on the foundational skills for success. Children will often have difficulty with writing or school performance because they need a stronger neurodevelopmental foundation. We work with children on developing this foundation in a fun way. Children learn about themselves, how to coordinate their bodies, and the world around them through play. We work on sensory integration because the ability to process sensations efficiently is extremely important to attention, behavior, learning, motor development, and social skills.
What We Do
We provide occupational therapy and social skills training for children ages 0-18. We are licensed occupational therapists and occupational therapy assistants through the California Board of Occupational Therapy. Occupational therapists are skilled at facilitating improvements in fine motor, gross motor, social skills, and sensory processing skills. Often children are referred to us in the school setting due to difficulty with penmanship or sensory processing. Our specialities are sensory integration therapy, rhythmic movement training and therapeutic listening. We work with children with a variety of diagnosis including Autism, Asperger's, PDD, Attention-Defecit Hyperactivity Disorder, Learning Disiability, Sensory Integration Dysfunction, Down Syndrome, and Developmental Delay.
