Our Business

Foundations Therapy Service was established in February 2002 to help school districts meet the growing occupational therapy needs for children with learning challenges and Autism.  We have expanded to provide private therapy at our clinic and regional center services for early intervention.

Who We Are

Julie Zito, OTR/L Occupational Therapist/Owner recieved her degree in Occupational Therapy from San Jose State University in 1998.  She is trained in advanced Therapeutic Listening and Rhythmic Movement Training Levels 1, 2, and 3. 

Zelda Hood, OTR/L, occupational therapist recieved her degree in Occupational Therapy from Dominican University.  She is trained in advanced Therapeutic Listening and Rhythmic Movement Training Levels 1, 2, and 3.

Beth Hornbeck, OTR/L, occupational therapist received her degree in  Occupational Therapy from San Jose State Univeristy. 

Angela (Angie) Case, COTA/C Certified Occupational Therapy Assitant recieved her bachelor's degree in adaptive physical education.  She later recieved her Occupational Therapy Assistant education and licensure.  She is trained in advanced Therapeutic Listening and Rhythmic Movement Training Levels 1, 2, and 3.

Dennise Benavides, MOT, OTR/L is an staff occupational therapist who provides services at the clinic and school sites.  She completed her master's of occupational therapy at University of Texas Medical Branch and holds a Bacherlor of Arts in Psychology.

Jennifer DeRusso is our social skills teacher.  She recieved her Bachelor's degree in human development from California Sate University, Hayward in 2002.  She has experience as a Lead Behavioral Therapist and ABA Treained Therapeutic Support Specialist.  She has experience with discrete trial training and has many years experience working with children with Autistic Spectrum Disorder
