Building the foundational skills for success

• Alert Program for Self-Regulation ADD/ADHD?  Sensory Processing disorder?  Always on the move?  Or, does your child low energy and often "zone out"? Our  Engines class is here to help.  Children will learn self-regulation via the Alert Program for Self-Regulation.

• Ready Minds, Ready Bodies-Get ready for Kindergarten!  Your child may know his/her ABC's, but is he/she neurodevelopmentally ready to start kindergarten?  The demands are much higher these days and children need to have a good foundation so that learning will be easier.  We work on "Brain Gym", midline integration activities, eye muscle, and general kinesthetic brain development activities that help provide the foundaton for reading and writing.

•  Sensational Kids- This class is for children who would benefit from activities that target sensory processing and motor development. Your child will engage in activities that provide much needed sensory input with a motor component to work on balance, motor planning, and midline integration.  He/she will have fun too!

• Handwriting without Tears-Does your child have sloppy handwriting? Are you looking for a head start on penmanship before kindergarten? We have various classes for different ages: Pre-K, Kindergarten, 1st through 2nd grade, third through fifth grade, and middle school.  Your child will work on foundational fine motor skills and penmanship in this class.

• Social Skills-Are you concerned about your child's social skills?  Does your child have difficulty making friends, or knowing how to interact in situations?  Our friendship class is great for develping those important social skills that children need to be sucessful at school and in life as they get older.  In addition to varoius age levels,  we will also have a class aimed at helping preschoolers transitioning to kindergarten get socially ready for kindergarten.  Kindergarten teachers list social skills as the #1 priority for incoming students.
